When you have a dog and a baby in the household, it can mean the start of an extraordinary bond. At barely two years old, Finn Knudston knows his best pal Brutus has a special place in his heart that he can’t seem to sleep without him!
In a night-time camera footage that has since gone viral, Brutus can be seen sleeping peacefully on the floor while the toddler awakens from his slumber on his warm bed. Little Finn probably needed a companion before drifting off to sleep, so he grabbed his blanket and joined the pup on the mat below him!
The toddler could be seen fussing around to find a comfortable spot beside Brutus. Sometimes Finn would be on top of the pup, or he’d just lay his head on the dog’s belly! Thankfully, the movement didn’t wake up our four-legged-friend, so the toddler just kept moving around until he found his good spot.
Once Finn was comfortable in the place he was in, the two would be inseparable until the morning came. It was a scene that was too adorable for Paige, Finn’s mom, that she had to share the moment caught on camera through social media.
Paige says the two truly have a special friendship and that no one can keep them apart – not even sleep. She explains that the sweet pup probably knew that little Finn needed extra attention because of the toddler’s prior medical condition when he was born. Finn was born with a heart defect but was treated with an arterial switch and has since fully recovered.
If little Finn ever needed help during the night-time, he never has to fret because of his loyal companion who’s with him at all times. With Brutus around, Paige doesn’t have to worry if her son ever feels lonely.
