Generally speaking, most thinking beings are capable of jealousy. It’s mostly observed in hoomans, canines, and felines. We don’t know why – we’re merely stating a general observation here.
Golden Retriever Zazu and German Shorthaired Pointer Walle would agree. They got into a situation one day when Walle snuggled with dad. Zazu saw the whole thing and wasn’t happy with it.
He was curled under a tree when he saw his brother getting all the love from dad. That didn’t sit well with him, and Zazu got up to do something about it.
The jealous pet walked up to dad and Walle and barked at both of them. He’s not selfish, but dad needs to practice fairness and equality here.
Fortunately, Walle understood what his brother was barking about. He was not one to make a scene, so he hopped down and went to Zazu. The dark-coated pet pacified his brother with a nose touch.
Zazu accepted Walle’s gesture and that little act effectively doused the jealousy in the retriever’s heart. This sweet bond between the two spoke of their respect and affection for each other.
Dad immediately picked up his moping Zazu and sat him on his lap. The golden boy appeared to still be mad, but when dad gave him head rubs and hugs, he calmed down.
Zazu knew that he shared dad and mom with Walle, but perhaps they could do their canoodling when he’s not around. Aww, don’t be like that, pet. Dad loves you both equally.
Dad’s warm hugs and pets finally got to Zazu, and soon, a silly grin appeared on his face. He was contented, obviously delighted to be in his happy place.
Understand that even if dad cuddles with Walle, it doesn’t mean that he loves you less. Your parents love you both, and there’s nothing in this world that would change it, okay? Sending hugs to you!
